Our story
3B Intelligence Academy was founded on a single conviction: that the best training comes from those who have operated at the highest levels of the profession. Our founders spent decades conducting and managing surveillance operations for UK law enforcement and military intelligence agencies before establishing the Academy to pass that knowledge on to the next generation of operatives.
The Academy takes its name from the three core disciplines that underpin all effective intelligence work — observation, analysis, and action. Everything we teach is grounded in real operational experience, tested in live environments, and continuously updated to reflect the evolving threat landscape faced by our clients.
Since our founding, we have trained hundreds of operatives from police forces, military units, and government agencies across the UK and internationally. Our graduates operate at every level of the intelligence community, from frontline surveillance officers to senior intelligence managers and counter-terrorism specialists.

Credentials and accreditation
3B Intelligence Academy is an accredited training provider working in partnership with the University of Derby. Our courses are developed in consultation with serving law enforcement and military professionals and are regularly reviewed against national occupational standards for intelligence and surveillance work.

Every 3B instructor is a former operational professional with extensive field experience in their specialist discipline. We do not employ academics or trainers without direct operational backgrounds.
Senior Surveillance Instructor
Lead — Surveillance Operations
Over 25 years of operational surveillance experience with UK law enforcement, including senior roles in specialist surveillance units and counter-terrorism operations. Qualified surveillance instructor and operational commander.
Technical Surveillance Specialist
Lead — Technical Disciplines
Former military intelligence technical specialist with extensive experience in the deployment and management of technical surveillance systems. Specialist in TSCM, surveillance electronics, and ECM operations.
Digital Intelligence Instructor
